Investing in You: Practical Tips to Career Satisfaction

Career satisfaction is an integral part of one’s well-being. Studies have shown that people who feel happy and content in their career are more likely to approach job-related tasks with enthusiasm and dedication.  This series will explain the importance of career satisfaction and highlight a few practical tips to creating a more productive and healthier you.

Toyah Brooks '98 

After suffering the consequences of sacrificing her own self-care for a relentless work-ethic, Toyah Brooks left an 18-year career in corporate retail to focus on completely transforming her life.  She is now a Whole Person and Goal Success Coach who helps women decrease their stress and increase their happiness.  Her focus on this group stemmed from a realization that most of the women she encountered shared common patterns of putting themselves last…to their own detriment.  She is passionate about helping these women reclaim their lives and find the joy they truly deserve!


Greg Share MEd '12 

Originally from Dallas, TX, Greg pursued his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in advertising and media planning.  Upon moving to California, he then pivoted his professional career into higher education, working in admissions at the University of Southern California for nearly eight years, while also receiving a graduate degree in higher education administration and student affairs.  Greg then joined EY in 2016 and has been with the firm four years as part of the campus recruiting team, and currently serves as the lead USC Campus Recruiter.  In addition to his role recruiting the best and brightest from USC, he also serves on several national teams contributing to EY’s campus strategy for branding and marketing as well as the international intern conference.

Financial independence is something everyone has thought about at different stages of their lives. However, to take control of your financial life requires planning. This series will help you think about your financial goals and what you need to do to become more financially independent.

Kathleen Campos '83

Kathleen B. Campos is a wealth advisor and senior vice president of wealth management at UBS Financial Services, Inc.; she joined the company in 2009. Previously, she was at Merrill Lynch, most recently as vice president and senior financial advisor. She is a certified financial planner and a chartered retirement planning counselor. She is on the board of the Glendale Memorial Health Foundation and was board president of the Trojan League of Los Angeles in 2015 - 2016. She is also a member of the USCAA Board of Governors.


Daniel Fernandez, Vice President Community Development, USC Credit Union 

Daniel leads the USC Credit Union in the launch of their Community Expansion Project. The initiative is set develop products that meet the needs of community members that live and work in the area around USC with an emphasis on East and South LA. Daniel also serves as the CEO of the USCCU Community Foundation. Scheduled to launch in the spring, the foundation will offer financial education, digital empowerment training and support philanthropic endeavors of community organizations throughout Los Angeles. Daniel Joins the USC family from the Opportunity Fund, a Non-profit Microfinance organization based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.
